The medal holder
This Marathon Majors medal hanger has been designed exclusively for ‘pilgrims’ of the World Marathon Majors series. The series is comprised of the six best known marathons in the world: Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York. This medal hanger features the text Marathon in an arc over the word Majors on a chunky 2.0mm thickness stainless steel bar. The hanging section of the bar has been cut into six sections, one for each Marathon Majors finishers’ medals. If you are a marathon majors competitor, however long that takes you – a season or a lifetime – this is the medal display you’ll need for your marathon majors series medals.
How does it attach?
This medal display is supplied with all the fixtures and fittings required to attach it to the wall. It is a case of careful measuring, drilling three holes and a little dexterity! Made from brushed stainless steel in 2.0mm thickness, the item is strong and will not bend or break once attached to the wall. This item will make a fantastic feature alongside your race photographs and bib numbers.
How many medals will it hold?
This medal display is designed to hold six medals. It is strong enough to hold more but the design is for a special series of events. Any medals other than the marathon majors series surely cannot feature here?
How does the Marathon Majors series work?
The AbbottWMM champion athletes are those who score the most points across the qualifying races in the one-year scoring period. However, the popularity of the Marathon Majors world series is also a ‘non-competitive’, i.e. non-professional avenue for amateur marathon runners looking for an annual or lifetime challenge. These athletes are runners wishing to test their marathon prowess in some of the most iconic cities in the world.
